Advocacy Guidelines

This tool comprises a set of guidelines to support countries in strengthening their strategy, vision and communications on sustainable buildings and construction. This set of guidelines provide information, data, resources, guidelines and tools that can assist when framing resource efficiency within the building's strategy of public and private institutions to align to global standards and aim to reach the international agenda objectives, such as Paris Agreement, Sustainable Development Goals or 2030 Agenda.

 

 

Advocacy Guidelines

Objective of this step: To foster radical collaboration among stakeholders – through promoting advocacy alliances – to re-arrange the fragmented value chain that characterizes the buildings and construction sector, driving it towards sustainability. Reference tools
Additional curated set of tools to allow governments and other stakeholders to gain access to, understand, and use improved assessment processes to make better decisions regarding the building and construction sector. In addition, the tools can assist decision-makers in prioritising resource efficiency concerns in country policies and plans, as well as capacity building and partnerships for putting these strategies into action. It comprises the three following sub-steps:
