Consumer Information for SCP Programme

About the programme

The Consumer Information Programme (CI-SCP) implements and supports projects; undertakes research; identifies and encourages policies; and provides collaboration opportunities for anyone looking to engage and assist consumers in sustainable consumption.

The aspirational target of the CI-SCP is to work towards: "companies providing credible sustainability information on at least 50% of their products & services at the point of sale"

Actors of the programme

The SLE programme is co-led by the Ministry of Environment of Japan and the Government of Sweden, represented by the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) respectively. A Multistakeholder Advisory Committee and large network of partners on the ground are working on the concrete implementation of projects.
